THE IET ADVANTAGE JOB FAIR 2013 @ KCG
College of Technology, Chennai.
IET India is pleased
to announce the dates for The IET Advantage Job
Fair 2013. The two day event
will be open to IET Members (students, fresh graduates and young professionals
with 1- 6 years’ experience) from across India. The Job Fair will be held on September 21 and 22, 2013 at KCG College of Technology, Chennai.
About the event
The IET Advantage Job
Fair 2013 will be a niche event where invited companies from relevant
engineering disciplines and screened applicants of high calibre get to interact
with each other. The two day event will be open to IET Members (students, fresh
graduates and young professionals) from across India.
The IET Advantage Job
Fair 2013 will also have an internship section for employers to hire candidates
for short stints with their organisation.
Note:
The IET does not
collect any charges/ fees from either the students/candidates or employers, at
any stage, to participate the IET Advantage Job Fair. This includes no charges
to students/candidates to take the aptitude and technical evaluation test.

Eligibility Criteria
For all Applicants
·
The IET Advantage Job
Fair will be open only to IET Members (Student/ Graduate Advantage / Career
Advantage / Professional Advantage/ Full Members).
·
Non-members can also
participate in the Job Fair if they sign up to become members of the IET.
Signing up means, filling up the Member Application Form and making the
relevant payment – by cheque, card or cash.
·
Applicants must have a
valid IET Membership number at the time of applying.
·
Being a member also
implies that the applicant is a member of the IET on or before August 18, 2013,
to participate in IET Advantage Job Fair 2013.
For final year
engineering students and fresh engineering graduates of 2013
·
The IET Advantage Job
Fair is open only to full time engineering students/ graduate engineers of
AICTE approved streams of engineering.
·
There should be no
current/existing back logs of any semester when applying.
·
Higher Secondary (or
equivalent) marks should be above 60% or of equivalent grade.
·
Class 10th marks should be above 60% or of equivalent grade.
·
The candidate must
have secured a minimum of 60% UG marks in aggregate for the semesters cleared
so far or corresponding to CGPA of at least 7 in a 10 point scale.
·
Candidates will have
to produce attested copies of the supporting documents and bring original
copies of their certificates for verification.
·
Shortlisted candidates
meeting the above criteria will have to take an aptitude test. The details will
be intimated to the shortlisted candidates.
·
Candidates who clear
the Aptitude test will be eligible to attend the IET Advantage Job Fair in
Chennai and will intimated separately about their clearance.
For Interns
In addition to the
above mentioned points, candidates applying for internships should note that:
·
Only 3rd year
engineering students are eligible for internships. The eligible students will
be selected and nominated by their respective college authorities.
For Young
Professionals with 1-6 years' experience
